Team VICTOR’s Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeon Seong have clinched their sixth Superseries title of the season with victory over Denmark’s Mathias Boe & Carsten Mogensen in the final of the Hong Kong Superseries. The Korean’s were off to a flying start with a 21-7 win in the opening game. The Danes fought back in the second winning it 21-18, but the top seeds were too strong in the end and clinched the decisive game 21-18.
No other men’s doubles pair has ever won six Superseries titles in a calendar year, which is an historical moment!
That also means that a VICTOR pair has won the last eight successive men’s doubles Superseries titles with Kim/Kim winning last week in China and Ko/Shin winning in Indonesia to go alongside Lee/Yoo’s six titles in Australia, Japan, Korea, Denmark, France & Hong Kong.
A really great series of titles, which hopefully keeps on going for a long time!
